This wine is made from extremely low-yielding, previously abandoned old-vines of Gamay d’Auvergne - averaging 80-100 years of age. The grapes are macerated for two weeks and foot trodden in fiberglass tanks where the wine is aged for a little less than a year before bottling. The wine showcases the complex mineral characteristics of the local volcanic and limestone soil blend. This is a really stunning and unique expression of the Auvergne - don’t miss it!
